Codys Kids, Inc. is an IRS 501c3 non-profit organization which was inspired long before its inception in 2012 in an effort to honor the short life of our little boy Cody James. Cody was diagnosed at the age of 3 with childhood cancer, after 6 long years of battling the disease, Cody ended his fight, closed his and flew into the arms of the angels.
In hopes of raising awareness of the devastation of childhood cancer, Cody's Grandma Sherrill is journeying to all 50 United States (and hopefully beyond). The goal while she is on this journey is to connect families in crisis with resources both in and out of their own community. It is our hope that our efforts will make even a small difference for each family we come to know along the way, providing love and encouragement while they fight the good fight.
Helping Hands are ALWAYS needed - in EVERY form! To lend a helping hand in your community or to donate to this inspired cause, please reach out today.
Codys Kids will strive to continue to raise awareness about childhood cancer and the devastation visited upon the child, their families and their community as a whole. Realizing that the struggle to survive both emotionally and financially can be almost as much of a task as fighting the disease itself.
Our organization is committed to helping each identify resources for their specific needs such as learning the medical process, receiving counseling, finding respite and various financial services.
